Auction Tips for success

The auction runs from Wednesday, December 2nd at 9am to Wednesday, December 9th at Noon.

1.  There are Sniping Rules:

This online auction module comes with a sniping rule in place in order to prevent someone from sitting tight until the last 120 seconds of an auction and then "sniping" an item.  If someone bids within the last 120 seconds, the auction remains open until 120 seconds passes with no competing bids entered and so on.

2.  Create your account early!

If you are not RRU staff, student or faculty, then you MUST create an account in order to bid.  We suggest you create one at the start of the auction to avoid delays in those last precious moments (you can't create one in advance of the start of the auction - but please do as soon as the auction goes live).

3.  Refresh your browser often

Things happen pretty quickly in the last few minutes and you'll miss out if you rely on your browser to refresh for you based on your browser settings.   So, REFRESH your screen often - by pressing the F5 key - in order to stay in the loop.   You will be sad if you don't!

If you are RRU staff, student or faculty, you may sign in to the auction using your normal RRU network credentials.  But, if you prefer not to bid as your RRU self, then you may create a separate account for bidding purposes.  We suggest you create one at the start of the auction to avoid delays in those last precious moments.

Ready?  Head on over to the bidding page to place your bid(s)!
