Feed the Peacocks for RRU United Way

So, you fancy a little fowl play? You can feed the peacocks at RRU and support our United Way Campaign. 

Here's how to feed the peacocks

Peacocks are fed at 9:00 am and 4:30 pm daily.

1. Choose whichever one of those times fits your schedule and a day of the week that works best for you.
2. Book a time using your RRU Outlook calendar, by making an appointment with the “person” called United Way in the RRU email system.
3. Pay your $5 on this online payment page hosted by the United Way of Greater Victoria (or, bring $5 when you come to campus on your day & time and just put it in the collection tin).

While booking:

• If someone has already booked the date and time you've chosen, you will see that the slot is full/busy. In this case, it will be necessary for you to choose another day and time.
• If you do not see a conflict, congratulations!  You’re the first person looking for this day and time. Go ahead and take that slot.

You're booked!

When your day comes, present yourself at the Security office in Millward building about 5 minutes before feeding time. A Security Officer will give you the food and point you in the right direction.

Please note:

• If you book this appointment using a non-RRU email account (such as your home gmail account), you will not be able to see if someone else has booked this day and time already.  
• Peacocks are quite excited by the food and will rush to you. This may not be an ideal activity for tiny children who might be frightened by the suddenness of the rush or for anyone afraid of peacocks. You may wish to bring a friend who can take pictures or video of the feeding frenzy!  (Never mind.  I just re-watched the video.  This doesn't seem scary at all!)
